Privacy

This site is run by one person. This page says exactly what is collected, where it goes, and how to get it back or have it deleted.

What the free chart collects

Nothing that leaves your browser.

When you enter a date, a time and a city on the front page, the calculation runs on your own machine. The positions, the wheel and the sample reading are worked out in your browser and never sent anywhere. Close the tab and it is gone. Nothing is stored, not on a server and not on your device.

What buying the report collects

To build and send a report, the following is needed:

  • Your birth date, birth time and birth city
  • The name you want printed on the cover
  • Your email address
  • Your payment details, which go to Stripe and are never seen or stored here

Where that information goes

The report is built and delivered by four services. Each one sees only the part it needs.

Stripe handles the payment. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and never touch this site. Stripe is the record holder for the transaction. Their privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

Anthropic generates part of the written portrait. The birth chart data (positions, angles, no name and no email) is sent to their API and returned as text. Anthropic does not train models on this data. Their privacy policy is at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

Cloudflare hosts this site and stores the finished PDF so you can download it. The stored file is reachable only through a signed link that expires. Their privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Resend sends the delivery email. They see your email address and the message. Their privacy policy is at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

All four operate servers in the United States. Buying the report means your information is processed outside Québec and outside the European Union.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session tracking, no fingerprinting. Nothing is stored in your browser between visits.

If that changes, this page changes with it, and a consent banner appears before anything is set.

How long things are kept

  • The finished PDF and the email address it was sent to: twelve months, then deleted
  • The transaction record: seven years, because Canadian tax law requires it
  • The birth data used to build the report: deleted once the report is delivered, except as it appears inside the PDF itself

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can write to hello@bornunderthesky.com and ask to:

  • See everything held about you
  • Correct anything wrong
  • Have it deleted
  • Get a copy in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent

Requests are answered within thirty days. There is no charge.

Under Québec's Law 25 and the European GDPR, you also have the right to complain to a regulator. In Québec that is the Commission d'accès à l'information. In the European Union it is your national data protection authority.

Person responsible

Yasser Boughazli is the person responsible for the protection of personal information under Law 25 and the data controller under the GDPR.

This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and information is not knowingly collected from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or where it goes, the date below changes and anyone with an active order is emailed.
